Born in Southhampton, New York, Paul Annacone (44 years
old) turned pro in 1984. He has won 14 ATP Doubles titles
including the 1986 Australian Open doubles title with long time
partner, Christo van Rensburg. He reached his highest singles
ranking of #12 in 1985 and a doubles ranking of #3 in 1987.
Paul was the 1985 ATP Newcomer of the Year and a member
of the US Davis Cup team in 1985 and 1986. Paul coached
Pete Sampras from 1995-2002 and Tim Henman from
2004-2007. He was formerly the Vice President of the ATP
Player Council, Founder of the Paul Annacone Tennis
Academy, US Olympic Committee National Coach of the Year
and the Manging Director of the USTA High Performance
Division. Prior to his pro career, Paul received a full tennis
scholarship and attended the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville for three seasons where he was three time
All-American. He captured the prestigious ITA National Indoor
Singles Championships in 1984 and become the #1 collegiate
player in the country. Paul is currently the Head Coach for the
Lawn Tennis Association and the 2008 Davis Cup Coach for
Great Britain. Paul has three children and resides with his wife,
Elizabeth in Los Angeles.
